These skills are provided by nurses, dieticians, and physiotherapists among others.

The goal is to establish a house where all Copenhageners with either type 2 diabetes or heart diseases and their relatives feel welcome and benefit from individualized healthcare. The physical environment is welcoming and health-stimulating. Centre for Diabetes and Heart Disease features a modern and inspiring training kitchen where people can learn how to prepare healthy and tasty food in collaboration with the dieticians of the centre.  

Centre for Diabetes and Heart Disease also accommodates user-friendly and inspiring training facilities and provide opportunities to exercise both indoors and outdoors. Conversation rooms for patient education sessions to accommodate individual programs as well as a monthly cafe to stimulate networking and relationship are also part of the service provided by the centre.

Center for Diabetes and Heart Disease involve citizens, family and the civil society as much as possible, to gain greater knowledge and understanding of interventions required by the citizen of the Copenhagen municipal society and has formed a close partnership with the Danish Diabetes Association.
